Day 0 - Departure
Departure - June 25 - 26 After spending the afternoon at the "Opernfest" in Frankfurt, I started my journey to China. The Air China flight for Beijing left Frankfurt at 8pm with a minor delay. The flight was mostly uneventful and I landed in Beijing with a 45-minutes delay. My connecting flight for Hong Kong was scheduled to leave 90 minutes after landing. Thus, the 45-minute-delay increased my stress levels instantly. To make up for the lost time, I had to run through the poorly ventilated Terminal 3 of Peking Airport. In a hurry I passed passport control (even just for a transfer) and security controls to finally arrive at the gate. I had already given up on making the flight, but to my surprise, it just started boarding. As it turns out, my connecting flight was delayed by one hour, which was really lucky for me.
